The European Commission has launched the first calls for projects under Horizon Europe’s Work Programme for 2021-2022. The projects will be selected for funding in a single-stage evaluation with an EU funding of € 1.216,3 million in total is now available for Climate, Energy and Mobility topics.
Horizon Europe is the new EU framework programme for research and innovation, which succeeds Horizon 2020. Under Horizon Europe, Energy, Climate Action, and Mobility research actions are grouped into Cluster 5. The overarching driver for this cluster is to accelerate the twin green and digital transitions and associated transformation of our economy, industry and society to achieve climate neutrality in Europe by 2050. The EU Commission adopted the main work programme of Horizon Europe for the period 2021-2022.

What are the requirements for applying?
The requirements for submitting a project proposal are detailed in the relevant documents published on the individual call page.
The submitted proposals are evaluated by independent experts drawn from the European Commission’s database of external evaluators. Applicants will receive the evaluation results at the latest five months after the submission deadline. Grant agreements will be signed with the successful applicants within eight months after the submission deadline.
