Millions of euros in funding have been made available by the Italian government to encourage citizens, companies and public services to buy green vehicles.
Run by the Ministry of Economic Development, the funding scheme opened for applications on 6 May and follows a similar initiative from 2013. The subsidies are available for the purchase of vehicles such as cars, light commercial vehicles, mopeds, motorcycles and quadbikes that use alternative fuels such as hydrogen, bio-fuels, natural gas, or electricity.
