  • £1000 prize for the best essay

  • The contest has been sponsored by TRL

Entries are invited for the annual ITS (UK) award for students. The award, which was launched in 2001, and relaunched in 2015, was set up to encourage interest and participation in the development of ITS technologies.

The students who would like to participate should write an essay on the topic of: How can future applications of ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) in surface transport improve the transport system for the user?

The award will be for the best essay of 1500 words and is open to UK resident undergraduates and MSc students with submissions endorsed by their institution. Marks will be awarded both for knowledge of new and developing technologies and for innovative ideas, and for good presentation and style.

The winning student will receive a cash prize of £1000 and an invitation to present the work at an ITS United Kingdom event.
Entries should be in Word format and arrive by 31 October 2015, and be endorsed by the student’s course tutor. The essays should be sent to mailbox(AT)its-uk.org.uk
