The car sharing initiative “my-e-car” was officially launched in Lörrach on 5 December. The new e-car sharing model comprises 40 Renault ZOEs and approximately 50 charging stations, to be realized by the middle of 2015. In his speech at the opening ceremony, Minister Alexander Bonde (Minister for the Rural Area and Consumer Protection in Baden-Wuerttemberg) underlined the importance of electromobility.
Until the middle of 2015, SWARCO TRAFFIC SYSTEMS will install 50Park²Power Compact fast charging stations in South Baden. Besides the customers of my-e-car, other e-car drivers will also benefit from the charging stations because the columns can be used by anyone without restrictions – similar to conventional fuel stations. Payment is based on credit card and NFC technology. Each charging station provides 2 charging points powered by certified green energy from a local hydroelectric power plant.
With “my-e-car” SWARCO TRAFFIC SYSTEMS extends South Baden’s e-charging infrastructure with 100 charging stations and contributes towards a more sustainable future of transport.
