The ITS European Congress’s reputation as Europe’s premier event for ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) and Smart Mobility is thanks, in large part, to its rich Conference Programme. For over two decades, the Congress has been offering experts an unparalleled opportunity to present their technological solutions, research, services, business models, and policy innovations to an audience which is representative of the entire mobility and transport ecosystem, including researchers, policymakers, public authorities, transport providers, and industry leaders.
The Call for Contributions for the 2025 ITS Congress in Seville, which opened on 10 October, is once again calling upon the ITS and Smart Mobility community at large to submit their research and innovation for inclusion in the programme. The topics under which the call is launched will address the most critical challenges and opportunities in mobility and contribute to the overall theme of the Seville Congress: Clean, Resilient, and Connected Mobility.
The Congress topics were determined in consultation with the European Programme Committee (EPC), a high-level advisory body comprising leading experts from the academic, private, and public domains including the European Commission. With the boundaries between sectors becoming increasingly blurred when it comes to ITS, the focus this year is on the deployment of strategies and technologies that will ensure that mobility services and solutions are sustainable, resilient, and seamless. Contributions are invited on the topics of:
- CCAM deployment
- Emergent technologies: Data and services for mobility
- Societal aspects of mobility for people and goods
- Resilient and safe mobility for today and of the future
The legacy of the ITS European Congress is rooted in promoting collaboration, showcasing cutting-edge technologies, and impacting policies that shape Europe’s mobility future. With the European Commission’s renewed commitment to sustainability, digitalisation, and smart mobility, there is no better time than now to ensure that your contribution to shaping the right projects and policies is heard and acknowledged. Your development, innovation and research projects can influence how Europe addresses challenges like urban congestion, decarbonisation, inclusive transport solutions, and cross-border mobility.
Contributions to the technical programme can be made in four categories as part of either Organised Sessions or Paper Sessions. Successful contributions to the Congress are collated and offered to all attendees after the event as a downloadable link for the ITS European Congress Publications & Presentations. (In past Congresses, we have partnered with online publishers to facilitate publication of Research and Technical papers.)
Don’t miss this go-to event for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and innovation in the intelligent transport and mobility sector.
The Call for Contributions closes on 10 January 2025!
