On 22 March, ERTICO invites its Partnership to the first Focus On event of the year, dedicated to the topic of Mobility Standards. In collaboration with two of our Partners, DEKRA and SAE International, this edition will be hosted as a one-day event divided into two parts with three panel discussions, inviting Partners to share their work and lessons learned within the field.
The agenda for the day includes three panel discussions. In the first panel the viewpoint of the organisations who work on standards will be given: SAE Europe, DEKRA, IEEE and CARIAD will discuss their work and the necessity of standards in the sector of mobility services and products on offer in the market and what their targets are in terms of vision and strategy.
In the second panel, standards and legacy will be discussed, focusing on the topic of how mobility stakeholders react to the ever-increasing number of standards in the field. Autostrade per l’Italia and AVERE, along with the Graz University of Technology and Ideas Forward, will tackle the topic of interoperability. ERTICO will act as the moderator and will add to the discussion the perspectives of interoperability and legacy systems.
After lunch, the second part of the day will feature the final panel, moderated by the representative from DG MOVE, European Commission, and it will discuss how the work of the ERTICO Partners relates to the standards-related policies of the EU and what the impact on users is. Representatives of DG CONNECT, European Commission will contribute with their views on the discussed topics from the policy point of view. The day ends with a wrap-up by the ERTICO CEO.
